About Tiny Love Diary

All of our lives have been turned upside down and so many lives have fallen apart during the past 3 years due to a surprising number of extremes... a global pandemic, race-based hate crimes, polarizing politics, and so much more. I feel each day we have all lost so much of our life.

As a new immigrant artist I am away from my family. The pandemic has broken the connection between my family and myself even more. Unprovoked attacks on Asians have made my life here in America more insecure. These Asian hate crimes have made it terrifying to live in my new country. I have found in my Tiny Love Diary a way to help heal myself. I hope it can inspire others to see that there are tiny loves all around us every day.

There are all kinds of loves in this world… big loves like the superhero saving the world in a movie, then there is the real kind of love which is just tiny…

A plant,

a piece of grass,

a little sunshine under the tree,

snowflakes,

blustery days,

beautiful dreams…

These are the things I call my tiny loves.

I collect each piece of these daily tiny loves and record them into my diary drawings. When I review them I receive strength from them and am filled with the power of life. I feel we all need these little bits and pieces of tiny loves especially in this most difficult of times. There is no ordinary life in the world; every tiny love moment is worthy of being recorded.
